The Triangle Figure Skating Club of North Carolina is a NC Non-profit corporation and a member club of the United States Figure Skating Association.  We were first founded on September 17, 1986, based out of the Raleigh IcePlex.  In 2008, the Triangle Figure Skating Club split into two clubs: The Skating Club of North Carolina, which retained its home rink at the IcePlex, and the Triangle Figure Skating Club, which moved its home facility to the Polar Ice House at the Factory, in Wake Forest, North Carolina.  In January 2017, the two clubs one again joined forces, retaining the original name, and maintaining strong ties with both the Polar Ice House Wale Forest, a dual-sheet (NHL-size) facility that currently serves as the club's home rink, and the Raleigh IcePlex, which is the only Olympic-sized ice sheet in the Triangle. In addition to our flagship rinks, we also maintain affiliations with the other area rinks, hosting club ice and/or test sessions at each:

Our  membership is comprised of children, teens, and adults of all levels -- being an advanced figure skater is by no means a membership requirement. Our skaters pursue many disciplines, including singles, dance, and synchronized skating.

Our club's mission is to promote the sport of amateur figure skating and foster the personal growth and development of our members.  We strive to deliver on this mission by providing our members with

opportunities to develop and showcase their skating skills in a supportive community. Some of the opportunities we offer our members include:

  • Club ice
  • Exhibitions and ice shows
  • Clinics
  • Basic skills and IJS competitions
  • USFS test sessions
  • Social events and banquets
